Diamond Moments
(Whispering, like an echo from afar) Not the wind roams freely in the field, Not the oak dances with its leaves in tune. It’s a maiden’s heart that grieves and yields, When her love walks by, unmoved, uncrowned. (Brighter, growing in strength) But when the falcon clear is by my side, And the sun breaks through the clouds so wide! No evil, no ill can confide, When you’re here, by my side, no disguise. For the russet braid, the golden fields, For the eyes as bright as daylight yields! For the lips like cherries, ruby-sealed, I thank you, my beloved, to be revealed! (Thoughtfully, slowly) We might have missed each other in the stream, In the flow of days, in life’s dark dream. But the threads of fate have intertwined supreme, Together we’ll remain, forever to redeem. (Solemnly, with faith in voice) What is destined, that shall come to pass, Love can never be undone, alas! Together we’ll live, together we’ll build, Our lineage through ages will fulfill!
